Public reception office opens in IngushetiaTimur Aliyev, North Caucasus - The Russian human rights organization "Za prava cheloveka" (For Human Rights) opened a public reception office in Ingushetia in late May, announced Vladimir Shaklein, their representative in the Uralsky Federal District.
According to him, 85 refugees from Satsita, the last tent camp in the republic, showed up at the office during the first three days. "Their main complaints were that members of the administration and law enforcement agencies were threatening to shut off their water, gas and electricity after June 1; and that severe measures would be taken against all those who refused to leave the camp."
“This office will try to help anyone having either social or political problems. We know how to write documents and how to push them through to conclusion, which is a definite plus in our work. Besides, since I’m an official delegate of our organization, this will allow me to meet with all the state officials and demand that they fulfill their obligations," he added.
