Two boys died of petrol poisoningRuslan Isayev, North Caucasus - A few days ago, two boys at the age of 14 and 15 died of poisoning in the central hospital in Argun, east of the capital Grozny, after Russian soldiers forced them to drink petrol.
Drunken Russian soldiers at a check-point on the road between Grozny and Argun started to humiliate the boys forcing them to dance. When they refused, the soldiers made them drink petrol and left them on a roadside.
On their way from Grozny, members of Chechen special police forces OMON found the boys near the check-point and took them to the town hospital in Argun where they died of petrol poisoning on the next day. Though their relatives asked for a certificate stating the cause of the death, doctors refused to do so claiming they feel worried as Russian soldiers strictly banned giving such certificates. |
