Assassination attempt in Serzhen-YurtRuslan Isayev, North Caucasus - Unidentified attackers threw a grenade into the office of Shakhid Chamayev, the head of the administration of the village of Serzhen Yurt. Fortunately, the incident took place in the evening when Chamayev was out of the office, so no one was killed or injured.
People from Serzhen-Yurt got concerned about the incident because they consider Chamayev the only man they can trust. On the following day they organised a spontaneous rally and proposed to carry out the investigation on their own as law enforcement agencies leave such crimes unresolved. They also proposed to set up their own security guards protecting the building of the local administration.
