Russian soldiers in Chechnya fire on village of Serzhen-Yurt

Ruslan Isayev

CHECHNYA – An artillery bombardment took place at dawn on September 13. Several artillery shells exploded on the outskirts of Serzhen-Yurt, and one struck the yard of the house of Vakhid Sadulayev, who is the brother of the village’s administrative head. No one suffered as a result of the explosion. Heavy damage was inflicted on the property.

For several days now the forested areas of this district have been subjected to artillery fire from a tank unit that is located in the city of Shali. Long-range guns are also being used, and these are reaching the Nozhay-Yurtovsky and Vedensky districts.
