Guerrillas and soldiers clash in Itum-Kalinsky district

By Ruslan Isayev

CHECHNYA - An armed clash between Chechen guerrillas and special forces of the Russian military took place on the outskirts of the village of Bugaroy in the Itum-Kalinsky district this morning.

Two guerrillas have been killed, a source in the Itum-Kalinsky District Interior Ministry Department (ROVD) said, adding that one Russian soldier has been killed and six wounded.

On Thursday, two soldiers of the 46th brigade of the Russian Interior Ministry forces were blown up by an anti-personnel mine near the village of Dargo in the Vedensky district. They have been taken to the military hospital in Khankala.
