Chechen presidential security guards attacked in Nozhai-Yurt district

GROZNY, Chechnya – Three guards from the Security Service of the Moscow-backed Chechen President have been injured in a blast in the Nozhai-Yurt district in southeastern Chechnya. The explosion took place near the village of Yalkhoi-Mokhk.

The injured men were transported to the Gudermes district hospital; one of them is in grave condition.

The press service of the Interior Ministry of the Chechen Republic announced that during the past 24 hours eight people, including two women, were detained on suspicion of being in contact with the guerrillas.
