Three Chechen operatives shot in Grozny

Ruslan Isayev, North Caucasus – On Friday some unknown men opened fire on three members of the Chechen Bureau of Investigation (ORB) in the Leninsky district of Grozny.

The policemen were not quick enough to put up any resistance; after having seized the officers’ weapons, the attackers escaped.

The three wounded men were taken to the 9th Municipal Hospital in Grozny where doctors described their condition as being very serious.

The Chechen ORB was formed out of the former RUBOP, a regional directorate fighting organized crime.
