Weapons caches uncovered in Ingushetia, Interior Ministry says

Ruslan Isayev, North Caucasus – Several caches of weapons belonging to various groups of guerrillas were found during the past weeks in Ingushetia, according to information provided by the Ministry of Interior of Ingushetia.

Sub-machine guns, ammunition and explosives were discovered by the police around the area of Nazran, and other weapons were tracked down in the Malgobeksky district near the Psedakh settlement. The cache consisted of a 120 mm mine thrower with a huge amount of mines, and more than eight thousand rounds of ammunition.

With the police working together with the Ingush branch of the Federal Security Service (FSB), a secret storehouse with grenade projectors, ammunition, four TNT charges and more than a thousand cartridges were discovered on November 17.

An investigation was launched to find the people who were responsible for the weapons being cached.
