Cadets shelled in Ingushetia
Ruslan Isayev, North Caucasus – A military academy was shelled by the Russian army in Ingushetia and about fifty cadets came under fire. Fortunately, there were no casualties although the building was severely damaged.
The incident happened on Saturday night in the village of Surkhakhi and lasted about an hour and a half.
According to the federal army, this attack was based on information received by their military intelligence that a group of guerrillas was believed to be operating in the area.
The incident is being investigated by the local Prosecutor's Office. (H/E,T)
