Two Russian soldiers injured by land mine

Ruslan Isayev, North Caucasus – Thursday morning a Russian bomb squad was in the village of Gordali trying to neutralize a land mine when it suddenly exploded. Two soldiers were badly injured and remain in serious condition.

Later in the morning, members of the security forces of Chechnya's Moscow-backed leader Akhmad Kadyrov arrested two young men from the Koshkeldy village in the Gudermessky district. The men, who served in one of the local units led by a fellow villager known as "Bismarck" and protected the oil facilities, are accused of having ties to the guerrillas.
