Soldiers and civilians alike keep dying in ChechnyaRuslan Isayev, North Caucasus - Two Russian soldiers were killed and five others wounded when a radio-controlled mine exploded in the village of Tsa-Vedeno in the Vedensky district.
A source at the Interior Ministry of the Chechen Republic said that the mine was planted on a village road and went off when the vehicle was passing the place.
All the dead and injured were members of a special elite unit of the Russian marine troops.
Meanwhile, as reported by a police officer, in Urus-Martan a 16-year-old schoolboy was killed and three others wounded by an artillery shell launched by the Russian military. Evidently it appears that this incident was caused by Russian soldiers carelessly handling their weapons.
