All displaced people living in tent camps in Ingushetia will be repatriated to Chechnya by the end of the year, stated Abubakar Baybatyrov, head of the Moscow-backed Chechen government's committee on compensations and refugees.
The situation in Chechnya might develop according to the Palestinian scenario, head of Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB), Nikolai Patrushev, told journalists in the Ukrainian town of Kerch. Patrushev also stressed that suicide bombers operating in Chechnya are trained abroad.

Russian forces carried out a mopping-up operation in the Tanzila refugee camp in Nazran, detaining several people living in it. While Russian officials said that a car packed with guns and ammunition was discovered during the operation, Nazran-based NGO "Chechen Committee for National Salvation" stated that the car arrived on the spot during the operation, which was accompanied by human rights violations.

Thus far 39 Chechen guerillas have applied for the amnesty which was passed by Russia's State Duma a week ago (on June 6), said Ilya Shabalkin, spokesman for the Russian staff controlling the "counter-terrorist operation" in the North Caucasus.
