Residents of Achkhoi-Martan district protest corruption of administration

Ruslan Isayev, North Caucasus – A rally of residents against the local administration took place in Achkhoi-Martan district on Friday. More than five hundred people took part in the protest action.

The local residents, who gathered on the square in front of the district administration building, demanded the resignation of district administration head Dalnayev and his deputies.

The reason for this demand was the situation in the district, where with the connivance of the administration the corruption of officials has reached unprecedented levels. The local residents also accused Dalnayev and the district authorities of illegally selling land belonging to various farms in the district.

The rally lasted for more than three hours, and when dusk fell the participants of the action returned to their homes, promising to take to the streets again if their demands are not met.
