Khamidov's representative forced to sign final tally

Timur Aliyev, North Caucasus - A representative of presidential candidate Movsar Khamidov at a polling station in the village of Zakan-Yurt had to sign a final tally or face being shot, announced the candidate's staff.

Out of about 2,000 registered voters, a total of 350 votes were cast. However, a figure of 1,500 (a nearly 72% turnout) was the final tally, stated Khamidov’s staff.

A group of armed men then pointed a sub-machine gun at Khamidov's representative and said: "Sign or we’ll shoot you."

The representative called out to Khamidov, asking him what to do. Khamidov told him, "Sign it. It's not worth dying for," staffed Khamidov's staff.

Khamidov's representatives were also prevented from being present at polling stations in the Nadterechny district.
