Sulumbek Maigov's statement on the Mozdok bus explosion
Ruslan Isayev, North Caucasus – On Thursday evening Sulumbek Maigov, Aslan Maskhadov's envoy to the Russian Federation, issued a statement about the bus explosion near the North Osetian town of Mozdok, in which 18 people died and 16 were injured.
"It's clear that the women who resort to such actions were born out of the madness that is going on in Chechnya," wrote Maigov.
He doesn’t believe that methods like this lead to peace, and called on the women who intend committing these terrorist acts not to do so. "It's a road that leads nowhere.”
Maigov also called on President Putin to end the hostilities. "Terminating the war must become the highest priority of the conflicting sides," he stressed. (T/E) |
