Special operation in Novye Atagi

By Ruslan Isayev

CHECHNYA – A special operation was carried out on Saturday April 2 in the village of Novye Atagi in the Shalinsky district by forces of the Security Service of the Moscow-backed Chechen President.

Local residents said that on one of the streets there was a battle, as a result of which a 28-year-old local resident, Magomed Baysultanov, a guerrilla, was killed.

Two residents of the Achkhoi-Martanovsky district who were unable to explain the reason for their presence in Novye Atagi were also arrested in the same locality. They are suspected of laying a landmine between the villages of Chishki and Starye Atagi.
