There were three Arabs, one black, two Russians, one Ossetian, three Chechens and several Ingushetians, the source said.
The exact number of terrorists is still unknown as official information about those who are being detained is controversial.
While Valery Andreyev, director of the North Ossetian branch of the Federal Security Service, announced that 26 terrorists are dead and three have been arrested, Sergei Fridinsky, Russian Deputy Prosecutor General, said that there were 26 terrorists and all of them had been killed. (T)
