This schedule of major events related to the conflict in Chechnya is continuously updated. Announcements for planned or expected events or any other suggestions are most welcome (e-mail: mail at watchdog.cz).

March 10 Moscow (Russia)
The Yalta Initiative for Peace in Chechnya, comprising 17 Russian and Chechen organizations, will announce the winners of their Peace Award, which will be granted to two organizations that contributed most to peace in Chechnya in the period from 1991.
March 10 Strasbourg (France)
Umar Khanbiyev, Health Minister of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria, will hold a news conference on the fact of abduction of 17 members of his family in order to force him and Magomed Khambiev, the Ichkerian Defence Minister, to give themselves up to the authorities. At 11:30 a.m. in the press room of the European Parliament in Strasbourg (Room N -1/201).
March 11-12 Moscow (Russia)
An international seminar on peace-making, conflictology and human rights protection will take place at 11:00-18:00 at the Andrei Sakharov Museum. More.
March 12 Washington, D.C. (USA)
The U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum's Committee on Conscience holds a panel discussion on the 1944 Chechen and Ingush Deportation. The events will take place in the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum, 100 Raoul Wallenberg Pl. More.
March 14 Russia
Elections of the President of the Russian Federation.
March 15 – April 23 Geneva (Switzerland)
60th session of the UN Commission on Human Rights.
March 18-19 Strasbourg (France)
At the invitation of the Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights, Alvaro Gil-Robles, the 25 regional ombudsmen of the Russian Federation, as well as Vladimir Lukin, the new Russian Federal Ombudsman, will take part in a round table at the Council of Europe.
March 27 Narva (Estonia)
Documentaries on Chechnya will be shown at a festival at the Aleksandrovsky Lutheran parish. More.
March 28 Georgia
Parliamentary elections.
