World Chechen Congress for a peaceful solution to the Russian-Chechen conflict

Copenhagen, Oct 28-29, 2002

WORLD CHECHEN CONGRESS

for a peaceful solution to the Russian-Chechen conflict

The PURPOSE of the Conference
is to create a fruitful dialogue
to contribute to paving the way for negotiations and peace in Chechnya
A lasting political solution is essential for war-torn Chechnya and for ending the enormous sufferings of the Chechen people.

In the ominous shadow of the terrorist hostage tragedy in Moscow and of years of devastating war in Chechnya,
The World Chechen Congress will convene in Copenhagen Monday 28 of October
In a spirit of openness, peace and negotiations to end the War in Chechnya,
Gathering representatives of the world wide Chechen diaspora
Inviting representatives from the Russian government and Duma, members of European parliaments, Chechen, Russian and international human rights and relief organizations and the arts and media.
